Stuck in that realm of sorta-ambient/sorta-world conscious music, Dead Can Dance demonstrates they can also create some interesting music. Featuring the dual voices of Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry, the Deadsters do fulfill some pretty hefty musical ability quotas. There is a range of exotic instrumentation that can be traced to various cultures around the world (though us jokers at SSMT aren't bothering to do so). However, the result is music that at times can be very relaxing and enchanting but also runs the risk of boring you into a sedate, prone position that would allow Gerrard and Perry to break into your house and steal all your valuables whilst you sit helplessly in your easy chair. Oh, and your mother might like this music. So you have been dually forewarned.
