You know, this album was so boring that it put crystal meth freaks to sleep. Trying to sit through this album is akin to pouring sulphuric acid all over body while watching a Rosie O'Donnell talk show marathon on the television. Decoryah wants to be something more than they are capable of and the result is simply pretensious garbage not worth the plastic they made the cassette with. Skip at all costs.

Fall-Dark Waters

Decoryah - Fall-Dark Waters ©1996 Metal Blade
1. Fall-Dark Waters
2. Submerged Seconds
3. Envisioned (-Waters?)
4. Some Drops Beyond The Essence
5. Endless Is The Stream
6. Gloria Absurdiah
7. Wintry Fluids (Portal)
8. She Came To Me In The Form Of Water
9. She Wept In The Woods

This CD received a lot of varied responses from the music press, some liking it and a lot of people hating it. Sure, Jukka Vuorinen would be better off avoiding the mic and at times they are very successful at creating new age music my parents could relax to...but all in all, this is a very ambitious project that doesn't succeed. All sorts of effects, instrumentations, and otherworldly voices. If Jukka would just let the guest women sing and if they would cut the dross, Decoryah could evolve into a deliciously delicate and intriguing group. But at this point it's still pretensious drivel that I can't convince myself of choosing to listen to.
