The thing about Nocturnal Breed is you have heard this all before under different banners. In a nutshell, it's the 90's version of 80's thrash with screechy throat shredding vocals over top. If you are even halfway familiar with this trend, you know exactly what to expect. Fast thrashy riffs, predictable solos, dumb member names such as Ed Damnator or the ever clever Destroyer. Heck, you even get a nod to the past which they are ripping off with a Death cover of "Evil Dead". But beyond that, Nocturnal Breed adds absolutely nothing to create their own flavor or stand out from any number of leather clad goon squads. There's nothing inherently wrong with bowing a bit to the classics of a decade ago but denying yourself an original voice just seems counterproductive in the long run.
