You Can't Drink From My Cup reminds me of one of those goofy 7 inch records NOFX cuts in an afternoon while their sound engineer is on a cigarette break. There's energy, spirit, and spontaneity. There's a dumb version of "La Bamba" and an album cover that might have been scribbled on a napkin, Spinal Tap style. Nevertheless, it sucks.

For one thing, The Pinheads leads singer sounds about twelve. Maybe he is, I don't know. Hell, for all I know the Pinheads are local Las Vegas heroes, haunting cruddy clubs on the weekend, esoteric scenester luminaries, with their own loyal pool of idiotic groupies. But I can't help but think there is some kind of ethical violation in vivisecting a bunch of songs performed by pubescents, so I will hold my tongue. But still, what the fuck is this, Star Search? At one point, while burning through these eleven non-threatening high speed punk rock songs that lack the hooks to pass for Fat Wreck-style pop-punk, and the conviction and ingenuity for elevated DIY status, he screams "get the heck out of my way!!" (emphasis added.) I can speak from my own experience, and the word "heck" is employed by the present reviewer in the company of only the religious, the elderly, and my parents when I was, well, twelve. But before I paint myself into a corner here, it should be noted that the final song is a robustly silly punk version of "Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear..." and, well, the joke may well be on me.
